Something often forgotten

Okay, so today, we celebrate Easter. Well actually "Resurrection Sunday". Easter takes place over a period over three days. What we often forget as Christians is that Easter should be everyday. According to Romans 6:10, we are told that "When Christ died, he died for sin once and for all. But now he is alive, and he lives only for God." I find in today's world, many Christians, including myself forget that he was once dead, but He, "Christ offered himself as a sacrifice that is good forever. Now he is sitting at God’s right side" (Hebrews 10:12). This means that He has provided a way of redemption from sin, which means we no longer have to offer many sacrifices, but only one, according to Hebrews 10:18.

We should always celebrate Easter, as Christians especially.  So, maybe a few weeks down the road, just keep this in mind. "That's why every year at Eastertime-- infact every day of the year-- we have reason to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior" (source).

This was inspired by Today's Daily Bread entry. The main text focused on Hebrews 10:11-18. It was called "Easter Everyday". See above if you want to read the entry.

I will leave you with the lyrics to a hymn called "I serve a risen Savior" or as other hymnbooks/ chorus books call it: "He Lives!" (at the Bottom of the page).

Watch/ listen: on Youtube: "upbeat" version, an acappella version, a country version or the a choir version.

Enjoy!

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

Paul :)

I serve a risen Savior
He’s in the world today.
I know that He is living,
Whatever men may say.
I see His hand of mercy;
I hear His voice of cheer;
And just the time I need Him
He’s always near.
He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way.
He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart.
In all the world around me
I see His loving care,
And though my heart grows weary,
I never will despair;
I know that He is leading,
Through all the stormy blast;
The day of His appearing
Will come at last.
Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian,
Lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs
To Jesus Christ the King!
The Hope of all who seek Him,
The Help of all who find,
None other is so loving,
So good and kind.
